Abstract

The goal of this research was to study about the correlation between selfconcept and emotional intelligent with juvenile delinquency on SMKN‟s students in Samarinda. The hypothesis explained that there was positive correlation between self-concept and emotional intelligent with juvenile delinquency, in all variables or partial. The respondents of this research were the students of SMKN 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10. Each school was presented by 25 students. One hundred and fifty students were taken by random sampling. The measurements of this research based on self-concept scale, emotional intelligent scale and juvenile delinquency scale. The result of this research was gained by using technical of full model regression analyze and got F = 52,293, db = 2, and 147, p = 0.000 (p< 0,01). It meant that there was significant correlation between self-concept and emotional intelligent with juvenile delinquency, with effective contribution = 41.571 %. The next result showed that self-concept partially had significant correlation with juvenile delinquency (rxly = -0.611 and p = 0.000) with effective contribution 41.459 %, meanwhile the emotional intelligent didn‟t have significant correlation with juvenile delinquency (rx2y = -0.044 and p = 0.301) with effective
contribution 0,112 %.
